Radiators - Energy bills to rise 10 percent07/12/2007 Energy and heating bills are set for a ten per cent price rise in the New Year, it has been predicted. Catalyst Commercial Services said the increase will push the average energy bill over the £1,000-mark for the first time ever. The rise is expected to come as early as January and will occur as a response to increasing oil and gas prices, a spokesman for Catalyst said. Energy suppliers have also been hit by increasing costs for distribution, which put further upward pressure on bills. Catalyst's projection has been backed by Tim Wolfenden of price comparison site Uswitch.com who has predicted that bills could rise by as much as 20 per cent. He told the Times: "The bottom line is, if one supplier is feeling the pressure it will pass it on to the consumer. The floodgates will open." Heat and Plumb offers an extensive range of energy-saving heating solutions through which you can your heating bills in the face of upward pressure. These include energy-efficient boilers from Trianco and Vokera and a range of compact radiators from Henrad. ![]() |
