Wet Room Showering - Wet rooms ''offer space''
20/08/2007
Wet rooms could be the best way to make the most of space in a property, it has been suggested.
Installing a wet room instead of a
bathroom might be the best way to make the most of the room by offering a spacious feel, according to the Independent.
The newspaper explained: "Rather than a shower cubicle with a raised shower tray and glass (or even a shower curtain) you get a fully tiled floor that slopes gently to a floor drain below a large shower-head."
It is thought that the recent boom in the popularity of spa hotels may have helped to increase the popularity of
wet rooms in people's homes as they seek to recreate the relaxing atmosphere of a spa in the comfort of their own home.
The Independent appears to agree with this view, describing the presence of a wet room as a luxurious and spacious alternative to a traditional bathroom.
