Bathroom Taps - Cutting water wastage can improve businesses profitability

British businesses can make significant operational savings through investing in water-saving devices, it has been claimed.

According to the government's environmental advisory agency Envirowise, even a relatively modest investment of £25,000 can result in savings of £90,000 annually.

Envirowise also revealed that businesses are wasting 1.3 billion cubic metres of water every year, underlining the enormity of the potential savings to be made.

Among the measures a business might embark on to cut water wastage are installing eco-taps such as those manufactured by Tratto, Ceramix and Armitage Shanks.

Meanwhile, good practice on a day to day level such as turning off taps and cutting the water wasted by toilet flushes in offices are also recommended by Envirowise, which claims that by these can cut £500 from bills annually.
