Taps - New taps and kitchen cupboard doors boost house sales

22/11/2007
New taps in the bathroom and new cupboard doors for the kitchen are cheap ways to improve the appearance of your home to potential buyers, it has been claimed.

According to Janet Ringe of hosing experts Poised to Move, homeowners looking to sell their homes should look first to improve the look of their bathrooms and kitchens, with small-scale affordable amendments often making a disproportionately big difference.

She told the Telegraph: "Bathrooms and kitchens give away a home's age and condition so freshen them up: [add] new taps perhaps and new cupboard doors."

Ms Ringe also recommended that sellers both "depersonalise" and "de-clutter" a home before visits from interested parties, since this will better able them to imagine how their own possessions would look in the house.

Heat and Plumb sells an extensive range of kitchen and bathroom fittings with which you can improve the appearance of your home.

Choose from Duchy Shower Enclosures, flat panel towel rails from Ontario or water-saving taps from Deva.

Meanwhile, those looking to update their kitchens are advised to check out Rapide's range of fitted kitchens and Franke's kitchen sinks.
