''V'' water heaters unveiled by Dimplex

Dimplex has expanded its selection of electric water heating products by releasing a range of new products.

The Dimplex V5 and v10 oversink water heaters are designed to meet light commercial uses such as office kitchens or village halls, according to construction industry publication Buildingtalk.

Delivering up to five litres of water from the V5 or ten litres with the V10, the products have preset heating levels and features an auto reset system to cut out the unit if the water runs dry.

"The units offer a choice of four temperature settings, from cold up to 85 degrees Celsius, to avoid wasteful overheating," the publication stated.

Also noted is that because the heaters are vented, they must be left open and unrestricted, although it highlights that their compact size will mean this can easily be achieved.

Dimplex states that water heaters are an efficient way of providing hot water, saying it has the advantage of "reducing energy losses [that] can be experienced from pipework and circulating pumps".
