Coram offers wet room alternative26/06/2008 Those looking to create the wet room experience in their bathrooms can use Coram Showers' panels to build an alternative to the full product, the firm has suggested. Wet room panels from the company's Acora Continental range can be used in bathrooms to create wet floor shower or wet areas, without the need to convert the whole room. Instead of needing to waterproof the whole bathroom floor as with a full wet room, this option allows homeowners to modify a small part of the room with minimum effort. A wet area uses a bathroom's existing plumbing, while the waterproof footprint is designed to fit in the space were the bath would sit. Peter Dimeloe, managing director of Coram Showers, said the wet area method was "ideal" for UK homeowners, due to reduced expense and the ease with which they can be installed. "Although the demand for wet rooms has increased significantly in recent years, there are still some consumers who are not ready to make the leap to a full wet room, and this is where the wet area comes into its own," he explained. Coram Showers manufactures a range of shower enclosures and panels, which have been designed with the specifics of the UK market in mind. ![]() |
