According to the article, "the RF LCD programmer gives thermostatic control to 'dumb' appliances such as towel rails which don't usually come with an integral thermostat, improving control for the user over energy use and fuel costs". The heating controls can be programmed to cover four different time periods, allowing appliances to be turned on and off when needed, while a seven day version is available for those who need weekday and weekend settings. Consisting of a wall-mounted LCD thermostatic programmer and an RF receiver sited near the appliance, the Dimplex unit can control any heater with a loading up to 2kW, the news provider reports.
