Space-Saving Wet Room Ideas

Stuck for space but still want a wet room?

Here are some ideas for you to try out yourself…

Wet rooms have become a popular alternative to the traditional design and style of bathrooms. They are not only stylish, but they are also functional too. One common misconception about wet rooms is that they are only possible in more oversized bathrooms than smaller spaces.

Of course, it is easier to install wet rooms in big bathrooms and have plenty of room to move around in, but that doesn’t mean that you have to discount smaller bathrooms. Here are some of the ideas you can try out if you want a wet room in a smaller bathroom.

Have a rainfall shower

You can certainly make up for what you lack in space in your wetroom in luxury. One of the must-have touches for any wetroom is a rainfall shower. These give you almost a spa-like feel, allowing plenty of water to crash over you and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Not only this, but you don’t need to worry about them taking up too much space as they are attached to the ceiling out of the way.

Go premium on your tiling

Texture and colour will be necessary for making sure a tiny space looks as open as possible. This means that when you are designing a wetroom, you want to think carefully about the tiles you choose.

Whilst you don’t always have to spend big on tiles, sometimes it does pay to invest in something long-lasting.

Spa touches

One thing that a wet room must have, even a small one, is those finishing touches that are going to make you feel like you are in a first-class spa. There are lots of different things that you can add to give your wet room a good step up from a standard shower.

Underfloor heating is one that you might not think of as this helps the floor to feel lovely and warm underfoot when you get out of the shower. Another great idea to have installed are shower jets. These will shoot water at a higher pressure onto specific points of your body, ensuring that you feel all the benefits from your head to your toe.

These are just some things that you should try and have in your wet room, whether it is a small space or a larger one. The main thing to remember to do is to enjoy it, rather than just being a place to get clean; if you design your wetroom in the right way, it will be a space that you will love to spend time in time and time again.
