Basins with Full Pedestals
When installing a basin in your bathroom - the most common method is to install your bathroom basin on
a pedestal and fixed to the wall. The Pedestal offers a little support but mainly is a way of concealing the pipework which feeds the basin tap.
The Bathroom basins you see below are all supplied with a full pedestal and come in many different sizes and shapes. Basins are normally available in either one, two or three tap hole formats.
If you need to save space, such as in a cloakroom (cloakroom basins are normally much smaller than basins with full pedestals), why not look for a large Wall Hung Basin (without a pedestal) - also known as a wall mounted basin .Alternatively, basins can be combined with bathroom furniture or vanity units in which the basin is either partially or fully recessed into your bathroom worktop. The basins are known as 'countertop basins' or 'semi countertop basins'. Finally - when planning your bathroom consider how the water will exit. Will you use a traditional plug and chain or have a pop up waste system - often combined as part of the tap assembly. |
