Lighting is one of the most important design features of any room, and the lighting in your bath room can make a big difference to how practical and welcoming it is. Many of today’s bath room mirrors come with built-in lighting which can provide a great focal point for your room.

Choosing the right mirror

Think about the space you have to hang it, and the uses it will have. If you have young children using the bath room, you may want one that’s out of reach – but that adults can still use. A narrow rectangular mirror may be the best option for you. If you are choosing a “his and hers" basin arrangement, do you want a separate bathroom mirror over each basin, or a large mirror that covers both areas? Remember too that mirrors are heavy – and if they are part of a cabinet, or in a heavy frame, you will need to make sure that your wall can support the weight of the mirror you have chosen.
