Two separate wall plates, one for the blade spout and one for the lever, give this chrome mixer a lighter footprint on the wall than the single-backplate version. The spout projects 177mm over the basin as a flat rounded blade; the lever sits on its own small round body alongside. There is no long concealing plate in the box, so the tiling needs to be cut cleanly around each opening.

Fitted this way, the basin surface stays entirely free, which is the reason most people choose a wall mounted tap in the first place.
