Matt black against a pale tiled wall gives you an outline rather than a reflection, and this three-piece set is mostly outline: two crosshead handles on slim round back plates, and a plain tube spout between them that runs 200mm out and turns down at the tip. Nothing sits on the basin, so a countertop bowl, a stone slab or a wall-hung basin with no tap holes all become options. It will serve a small bath just as well, given the right spout height.
