Matt black gives the Turbine basin mixer its flattest, hardest look: no highlight to soften the outline, just a dark round column with two legs angled out to either side and a curved spout rising 219mm above the deck. Each leg is capped with a valve wheel, four open spokes around a small hub inside a finely knurled rim you can feel under your fingertips, and a quarter turn is all it takes to run the water. This is a tap for a bathroom built on dark tiling, black metal and concrete, where a plain lever would simply disappear.

A matching press-top waste is supplied in the same matt black, and only one tap hole is needed.
