The domestic Water is 'directly' heated by the immersion heaters, which sit inside of the cylinder. This means though that the heat-up and recovery times are alot slower than an indirect cylinder. These cylinders are manufactured and fully approved to the lastest British Standard specification BSI566:2002 (Part L).
