Inside, quarter-turn ceramic disc valves do the real work - precision ceramic plates replace the rubber washers that traditional taps wear through, so a short, light turn of the lever gives you exact control of flow and temperature, and the shut-off stays positive and drip-free for years. A matching waste is included in the box, so there is nothing extra to order before your plumber arrives.
