Three separate pieces make up this basin set: an arched spout on its own round base, with a crosshead valve mounted either side of it. Each crosshead is built from four slim pin spokes capped with flat discs, radiating from a machined hub, which is what keeps the shape modern rather than period. The spout rises 190mm and swivels across a 130mm reach, and the three-piece layout is there for a reason - it spreads the handles wide of the bowl, so your hands are nowhere near the water when you adjust the temperature.

It needs a basin drilled with three holes at standard centres, and a chrome pop-up waste is supplied to match. Matt black and brushed brass run through the same Axiom Crosshead range.
