Bath Screens
Bath screens, sometimes also called shower screens, are essential pieces of kit when you're installing a new shower over your bath. More modern than a shower curtain, our range comprises screens which fold, slide and swing open, allowing you the flexibility to choose the perfect screen depending on your preferences and bathroom configuration.
Most screens can be installed either to the left or right, and all are made from top quality materials which are made to last. Shower screens are very easy to install, whether you're fitting them along with a new shower, or as a replacement for an existing screen or curtain. Choose the right style and size of screen for your home - no need to put up with wet floors or sticky shower curtains for one moment longer. We've also worked hard to bring you this range at prices which we're sure you'll agree represent outstanding value for money.

Bath Screen Types - Quick Guide
From simple fixed panels to space-saving folding designs, here’s a quick overview of the main bath screen types we stock and which bathroom layouts they suit best.
Hinged Bath Screens
Best all-round choice
Easy to move out of the way when using the bath and normally provide generous access. Check whether the screen opens inward, outward or both, and make sure it will clear nearby taps, basins and toilets.
Fixed Bath Screens
Simple design with fewer moving parts
Fixed panels do not require any opening clearance and have fewer hinges or joints to maintain. Choose a width that provides suitable splash protection while leaving comfortable access to the bath and taps.
Folding Bath Screens
Best for compact bathrooms
Multiple panels fold back towards the wall, providing good access without swinging into the room. Check which way the panels fold and remember that the additional hinges and seals require more regular cleaning.
Shower Bath Screens
Designed for P-shaped and L-shaped baths
These follow the wider showering end of a shaped bath. As they are not generally interchangeable, check the bath shape, dimensions, handing and, where applicable, the compatible bath model.
Compare Bath Screen Types
Use this quick comparison to see which bath screen type best suits your bathroom, available space and access requirements.
| Screen type | Best for | Main advantage | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hinged | Most straight baths | Good access and easy to move aside | Opening direction and clearance |
| Fixed | Simple, uncluttered installations | No opening space required | Width, spray coverage and tap access |
| Folding | Small bathrooms | Folds back without entering the room | Folding direction, hinges and seals |
| Sliding | Bathrooms with no swing clearance | Opens without using additional space | Track cleaning and limited choice |
| Shower bath screen | P-shaped and L-shaped baths | Follows the shape of the showering area | Bath shape, handing and compatibility |
How to Measure for a Bath Screen
Accurate measurements are essential when replacing a bath screen or fitting one for the first time. For the most accurate fit, take final measurements once the bath and surrounding tiles are in place. When planning a new bathroom, use the bath dimensions and manufacturer's technical drawings, then confirm the measurements before fitting the screen.
Measure vertically from the top surface of the bath rim to the required top of the screen. Check that the screen will provide enough coverage around the shower head without reaching any sloping ceilings, windows or fittings.
Measure from the finished tiled wall to the point where you want the screen to end. Choose a width that provides good protection from spray while maintaining comfortable access to the bath and taps.
The bottom seal needs a flat and level surface to sit against. Check that the bath rim is wide enough for the screen and that there are no raised edges, curves or handles in the installation area.
For a hinged screen, check that it can open without hitting a basin, toilet, radiator or bathroom furniture. Also check whether the screen opens inward, outward or in both directions.
Many wall profiles allow a small amount of adjustment for walls that are not perfectly straight. Compare your measurements with the adjustment range shown in the product specifications.
Screens designed for P-shaped and L-shaped baths must match the shape and handing of the bath. Do not rely on width alone. Check the product diagram and compatibility information before ordering.
